La Plonplonière guest rooms are nestled at the heart of a tree-lined property at the edge of the village of Aix-en-Issart in the Pas-de-Calais county. Established along the Bras de Bronne river, one of the Canche river branches, this quaint hamlet of 300 souls is one out of the ten villages of Ternois and the seven valleys. Endowed with a medieval charm, standing right in the middle of a rural scenery, it is located 2 hours and 30 minutes away from Paris and 1 hour and 30 minutes from Lille, making both cities very easy transfers. Golf connoisseurs in particular will appreciate the fact that our guest rooms are a few kilometers away only from ten golf courses.

The legend

It all started with an inscription carved on a wood beam in the old barn attached to the main house. 1770 VA ✝. A mysterious autograph that transcended times and stirred the owner’s feelings. Probably going back three centuries, this testimony of a long gone past is the starting point of the La Plonplonière adventure.

Jean-Baptiste Aubert, sensitive to History messages and keen to convey them, was intent to resurrecting the barn. He therefore undertook its renovation to turn it into four modern and cosy guest rooms.
